Product info
The ARCPULL 700 is a three-phase inverter pulled arc welding machine that can weld add-ons (studs, internally threaded studs, insulation nails, pull rings, rivet extraction rods, etc.) on aluminum or steel-based materials. It has a Synergic operating mode and a Manual operating mode. The Programs menu can be used to store and recall welding configurations. It has a connection for PLC control. There are 4 main stages: priming, stripping, arcing and attachment. Priming: the add-on part (pulling ring, studs, etc.) is brought into contact with the support sheet. Pressing the trigger starts the welding process: the generator sends current into the stud, the gun axis rises slightly, and a low-intensity electric arc is created. Stripping: this phase could also be called preheating. The generator regulates a current to ensure a low intensity electric arc, the heat generated by this arc allows: - to burn the impurities of the support sheet (greases, oils, electrolytic zinc plating). - to preheat the two parts, and therefore to limit the thermal shock of the welding arc, in order to improve the quality of the weld. During this phase neither the insert nor the support sheet melts. Similarly, this phase does not allow the zinc layer of the galvanized sheet to be released. The arc: the generator significantly increases the current to create a very energetic arc creating a molten pool on the support sheet and causing the end of the insert to melt. The attachment: The gun plunges the insert into the molten pool.
