Product info
The ARCPULL 350 is a single-phase inverter pull-arc welding machine for welding inserts (studs, internally threaded studs, insulation nails, pull rings, rivet extractors, etc.) onto aluminum or steel-based materials. It features a Synergistic operating mode and a Manual operating mode. The Programs menu allows you to store and recall welding configurations. The process consists of four main stages: ignition, pickling, arc, and strike. Ignition: The insert (pull ring, stud, etc.) is brought into contact with the base plate. Pressing the trigger starts the welding process: the generator sends current to the stud, the gun shaft rises slightly, and a low-intensity electric arc is created. Pickling: This phase could also be called preheating. The generator regulates the current to ensure a low-intensity electric arc. The heat generated by this arc allows: - the burning of impurities on the base plate (grease, oil, electrolytic zinc plating). - the preheating of both parts, thus limiting the thermal shock of the welding arc, in order to improve weld quality. During this phase, neither the added part nor the base plate melts. Similarly, this phase does not allow the zinc layer on galvanized sheet metal to be removed. The arc: the generator significantly increases the current to create a very energetic arc, creating a molten pool on the base plate and causing the end of the added part to melt.
