The KRYPTON 401 DC is a next-generation TIG DC power source offering superior welding quality and advanced features to maximise productivity in the workplace. Engineered using the latest digital technologies, its pulse mode gives welders better control of the weld pool, and minimises deformation on thin workpieces. Its easy-to-use interface simplifies control of welding parameters, even for inexperienced TIG welders. The robust metal structure is easy to transport, and is ideally suited to the needs of the most demanding pipe, tube, or stainless steel welding applications. 2 WELDING PROCESSES: TIG DC DC Standard: smooth current welding on most ferrous materials. DC Pulse up to 10 kHz: regulates the temperature of the weld pool, reduces deformation, and can be used on thin sheets as fine as 0.3 mm. MMA Standard MMA: coated, rutile, basic and cellulosic electrodes (up to Ø 6 mm). Pulse MMA up to 800 Hz: facilitates welding in a vertical rising position (pipes/pipelines, etc.). OPTIMISED TIG SETTINGS - Duty cycle at 100% TIG: 320 A - 4 tacking modes: - Spot / Multi Spot : traditional spot welding before working on thin material. - Tack / Multi Tack : ultra-precise, oxidation-free tacking to reduce the risk of deformation. - 3 types of ignition: Lift, HF and Touch.HF (timed high-frequency ignition). - 3 trigger controls: 2T, 4T and 4T LOG. - Pulse TIG waveform settings for improved arc penetration and acoustics. - E-Weld mode ensures that the welder maintains welding power regardless of the position of the torch in relation to the workpiece (control of welding energy).
