Complex Chromium Carbide hardfacing electrode DUROARC® 43X is a high hardness product offering similar abrasion resistance to Tungsten carbide electrodes at 1/3 the cost. It is a complex matrix and includes Chromium and Niobium Carbides which offers the ultimate combination of abrasion resistance and high temperature hardness retention. Best used with minimum amperage with a medium arc gap. For smooth welds use a 3 x weave. There is minimal slag which can be over welded without prior removal. Only 2 passes are required for development of the full benefits of this alloy.
