Superior electrode for extremely tough build-up and under base for hard surfacing. A build-up electrode in the machinable range of hardness providing wear resistance that is far superior to low and medium carbon steel and low alloy steels. Deposits are extremely tough and have a high resistance to impact and deforamation and are not subject to spalling or roll-over. In addition, deposits are dense, crack-free and porosity-free. High compressive strength makes it a good build-up material as well as a good underlay for hardfacing overlay. Deposits are machinable and forgeable. Can be flame cut.
